La Ferme du Chateau - Chatel Chalet

A unique Chatel Chalet – a stunning renovated Savoyard farmhouse in the centre of the village of La Chapelle d’Abondance, 5 minutes from the centre of Chatel.

La Ferme du Chateau, catered Chatel chalet, is truly a unique property amongst Chatel’s Chalets. It was built in 1680 and lovingly renovated into luxury accommodation in 2008. It has all the benefits of the traditional Savoyard building – exposed beams, large spacious rooms, and sits in a sun trap in the centre of the farming village of La Chapelle d’Abondance.

5 Star Accommodation at affordable prices

La Ferme du Chateau boasts 6 ensuite bedrooms, 5 of which have baths and showers and 1 which has a wet room. All of these rooms can be either twin or double rooms and most of them can easily accommodate additional beds without compromising on comfort. All of the rooms are furnished to a high standard with 5* quality beds, Egyptian cotton linen, luxury toiletries, fluffy dressing gowns, hairdryers, ipod docking stations and 5 of the rooms have access to a balcony overlooking the Mont de Grange nature reserve. There is also a sunken Jacuzzi on the lower balcony offering the perfect treat after a day’s activity. The Chalet can accommodate up to 18 in the six rooms, again unusual amongst Chatel’s Chalets.

The living and dining room are exceptionally spacious with a central wood clad open fire. There are 6 large sofa’s in which to relax, a TV area, kids area on the minstrels gallery, cosy reading snug and plenty of room in which to relax and sip an aperitif or two in front of the fire. There is a TV with free to view satellite,video (because we have so many), DVD, ipod connection, music system and WiFi.

Good Food & Wine

The space and comfort of the Chalet is only part of the total experience of a Savoie Faire Holiday; the Chalet itself combined with excellent food, wine and unbbtrusive service are fundamental to our success. During the winter we offer a cooked breakfast and afternoon tea every day and a 4 course evening meal with wine on 6 nights– there is also an option for early children’s supper. One night per week we let you escape to sample to local restaurants and mingle with the other Chatel Chalet’s guests.

Services

Included in the cost of your winter holiday are transfers to and from Geneva airport, transport in resort with drop off and pick up from the slopes each day.

For those that like to have a 'ski host' accompany them on the slopes this service is available on 3 days out of the week. We will also arrange for your lift passes to be waiting for you on your arrival and pre book any equipment hire so that the process is as fast as possible.

Flexibility

During the summer the Chalet is available on a self catered basis (whole chalet), B&B or ½ board (breakfast, tea and 3 course meal) on a room by room basis.

La Ferme also lends itself perfectly to accommodating and catering for special parties, milestone birthdays and corporate groups such as management training courses, senior management meetings and team building exercises.
